很早以前韩国就开始使用汉字，汉文。现代韩语词汇里，汉字语占了半数以上。现在韩国所使用的汉字词，有相当部分是从中国的古代汉语借词而来的。但是因为两国时代演变的过程不同，韩语汉字词与相应的汉语词出现了差异。近年来，随着中国和韩国的交往的日益频繁，两国间互相学习对方语言的人越来越多。如果两国学习者搞清楚韩国的汉字词与汉语相应词的关系，对于中国人学习韩语以及韩国人学习汉语会有很大的帮助。
