my wife wishes she could see our grandson permitted to a university.He talked of/about that city as if he had been there.两个考查的都是虚拟语气第一个wish后的虚拟是弱虚拟，加上could就可以，would也可，注意后面的介词to最好不要用by第二个是as if的虚拟，很典型
