汽车涂料要经过大约5道工序，第一道是预处理Pretreatment，Conversion coating thatimproves corrosion resistance and paintAdhesion，主要是提高涂料与车体的黏合强度，其次是提高防腐蚀能力。第二道是电泳Electrocoat， Electricallydeposited coating that protects metal fromcorrosion，电泳的好处是覆盖面广，电泳漆在非常隐蔽的部位，如翻边以及箱式结构，仍能形成完整的保护膜，从而得到较高的防腐蚀性。（Formationof protective films in highly recessed areas such as flanges andbox sections provides critical corrosion protection）
