1 Manager Engineering (Broadband Access Test)
Report to: Broadband Access Director
Job Description:
•Manage the System Test team in Tellabs Shanghai.
•Plan, lead, and execute the full testing lifecycle of the product including: Test Planning; Test Design; Test Execution; Test Assessment.
•Provide project management level discipline to testing efforts
•Provide technical and administrative leadership.
•Contribute to identification of testing strategy alternatives and review feasibility and alternatives studies with individual project and / or team lead responsibility across engineering disciplines.
•Provide support, as necessary, for customer interface.
•Management activities include hiring, preparation / delivery of performance reviews, budgeting and resource planning.
•Contribute to and / or lead continuing process improvements.
Requirements:
•Familiar with Microsoft office and Microsoft project tools
•Generate project metrics for tasks completed per time, test case pass/fail/block per time
•Familiar with Voice, Broadband Data, and Video technologies, and test equipment
•Fmiliar with BPON, GPON, DSLAM, DSL, FTTP, FTTC, FTTN, ISDN, POTS, IGMP
•Small amount of travel to US required
•Standard status meetings with US
•Use Test Director as test management tool
•12+ years of working experience in Telecom industry
•4+ years management experience
•Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
•Significant customer interface experience, preferred.
•Commitment to excellence and high standards
•Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
•Strong working knowledge of multiple testing methodologies
•Prior experience in testing similar products
•Able to work towards agreed goals, with a minimum of direction
