The reason lies in that she works harder than the others do
不是介词后不接that从句么？
一楼说的定语从句中that代替先行词后前不能接in，应是in which.
但动词加介词后加that-从句的用例很少，除了except,but,besides可以用之外，其他都已很少用。
二楼好像in也不能用吧应该是except,but,besides 。
此题可改为

你说的是定语从句中介词后面不用that 引导定语从句。而这句是that 引导的宾语从句，做介词in 的宾语。另外，还有个短语 in that...引导个原因状语从句,这里in that 意思是“因为”。

in是介词，后面跟的是宾语，既然是个句子，就是宾语从句，所以应该理解为that引导的介词宾语从句。

介词后面的确不能加that从句，但有3个词可以用为in，beyond，except就是you agree on it that加个句子，其中的it不能少。但有in that，Beyond that，except that。。。
