we saw the sails had escaped from the paper bag...
这句话是we(主) saw(谓) the sails had escaped from the paper bag(宾从）？还是we（主） saw（谓） the sails（宾） had escaped from the paper bag（宾补）（有这种用法吗）？

是第一种啊，宾语从句省略that的形式啊，后面的had escaped from the paper bag只能做谓语的，作宾补只能用非谓语动词，即动词不定式、动名词或者是过去分词啊，这里想做宾补需要把had escaped 改成escaped才行
