Article 1
In Annex II, Section A of Directive 2002/72/EC, the text in
column 4 under the reference number 13480 as regards the
monomer 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane is replaced by the
following:
‘SML (T) = 0,6 mg/kg. Not to be used for the manufacture of
polycarbonate infant (*) feeding bottles

(*) Infant as defined in Directive 2006/141/EC (OJ L 401,
30.12.2006, p. 1).
Article 2
1. Member States shall adopt and publish, by 15 February
2011 at the latest, the laws, regulations and administrative
provisions necessary to comply with this Directive. They shall
forthwith communicate to the Commission the text of those
provisions.
When Member States adopt the provisions referred to in
paragraph 1, they shall contain a reference to this Directive
or be accompanied by such a reference on the occasion of
their official publication. Member States shall determine how
such reference is to be made.
2. Member States shall apply the provisions referred to in
paragraph 1 in such a way as to prohibit from 1 March 2011
the manufacture of, and from 1 June 2011 the placing on the
market and importation into the Union of, plastic materials and
articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs and
which do not comply with this Directive.
3. Member States shall communicate to the Commission the
text of the main provisions of national law which they adopt in
the field covered by this Directive.
