I had a donkey and i never rode it,I took it to the market on a whim one day,这个题考察你对时态的掌握程度，这很明显是一个一般过去时态，所以你把have改成had就ok啦。也许你会问：把它改成一般现在时也行啊，但改错一般来说只改一次，所以只能改have啦。

后面半句最好翻译成： one day I had a brainstorm and took it to the market.
