Bill is a twenty-year-old young man . Three years ago, when he finished middle school , he found work in a shop . Usually he works until nine o'clock in the evening. When he gets home, he always feels very tired. After a quick supper he goes to bed and falls asleep . So he never makes any noise. His grandfather is very satified with him.
One day he went back from work a little earlier. On his way home he met Mary, one of his classmates. They were both very happy . Bill asked Mary to his house , the girl agreed . He broght her some fruit and drinks . They talked about their school , their teachers , their classmates and their future. They talked for a long time.
"Have a look at your watch , please. " Said the girl. " What's the time now?"
"Sorry, there is something wrong with my watch."said Bill. Where isyours?"
"I leftit at home."
Bill thought for a moment and found a way. He began to stamp his foot on the floor.
The sound woke his grandfather up.The old man shouted downstairs."It's twelve o'clock at night , Bill, what are you still jumping upstairs?"
