I have ALSO been to Japan and I have spent a significant amount of time there.
I hinted in my earlier posting that AMERICAN asian women knew to avoid asian fetishists men but what I’ve failed to mention is that asian women who are from Asia do NOT have such a honed skill.
The reason for that is because asian women in asia do not have the cultural background that those of us living in the western world have. They genuinely don’t realize that the caucasian male fetishist is of unsound mind because they assume ALL white men are like that.
I’ve also noticed a tendency, and I shudder to say this, for beautiful asian women in asia to date exceptionally unattractive white males. The reason for such a phenomenon is fairly simple. In a society where the entirety of the population is asian, the people of that population have a hard time understanding the facial features of people from another ethnic group. (Remember the racist saying that “All asians look the same”? But those who live in a diverse western city with a significant asian population would tell you ‘NO, all asians do NOT look the same’). We in the western world can discern who is or isn’t attractive because we’re used to looking at different ethnicities. In asia, all Caucasian men look like a movie star because they’re simply not used to seeing real caucasian people.
That’s just the sad reality of things. when I was in japan on foreign exchange, I took it upon myself to tell my female friends that ‘NO, men in america do NOT all look like brad pitt!’ And ‘NO, that tubby guy from Arkansas is NOT considered attractive in America, don’t believe him for a second no matter what he tells you!”
To be fair, I have to mention that not-so-attractive-white-women ALSO all look like models in japan. Once again, it’s because the only caucasians that the japanese see on a regular basis are from the movies and therefore, they lack the ability to gauge the attractiveness of someone who is non-asian. This is true for all homogeneous populations by the way and not exclusive to asians.
