请问前半句的with 可以不要嘛？可以写成
During a periodof fraught difficulties and marked by very extraordinary events ,这样吗？谢谢...

fraught with =full offraught 为充满的 fraught difficulties则为充满的问题，说不通而且它整个后面是并列的后置定语
