1. hundreds of people 成百上千的人们此处的hundres of是一个大概的数量，表明people的数量在百以上。2. two hundred of people是一个错误的短语，可以改成：1）two hundred people 两百个人们 two hundred是一个精确的数字2）two hundred of the people 人们中的两百个of后面的people必须是特指，所以people前面必须加上定冠词the

hundreds of的意思是成百上千而two hundred of people 指的是两百人hundreds of 指代不清 表示有很多人

前者是成百上千的人，后者是人中的两百个
