The musicians will play upon their stringed instruments. 我看到的短语是play instrument
这里为什么还有个upon呢？请高手指教

主要从意思上区分;play this instrument演奏这个乐器play an instrument演奏乐器；弹奏乐器；弹一种乐器；演奏一个乐器这是个词组.play 是及物的.而The musicians will play upon their stringed instruments. 这个句子:音乐家们将要在他们的弦乐器上,进行演奏。play 是不及物的,play和 upon 要分开读.

play upon是演奏的意思，你看的应该是..play an instrument 吧。用..play an instrument 就是对的
