Dear Mr./Ms.
I am pleased to inform you that you are admitted to the Korean Language & Culture Program for the 2008 Summer Session (from September 1, 2008 to November 7, 2008).
1. In order to officially enroll in the program and apply for the D-4 visa, please send the tuition fee of two semesters 2,800,000 won (1,400,000 won X 2 semesters) to the Office of General Affairs of the Language Education Institute, Seoul National University no later than July 18, 2008.
There are two methods of payment:
1) Send a money order,
2) Wire the tuition to the following LEI account:
* Bank: Nonghyup (National Agricultural Corporative Federation) Bank, Seoul National University Branch
* Bank Address: San 56-1, Sillimdong, Gwanakgu, Seoul, 151-742, Korea
* Receiver’s name: Language Education Institute
* Account No.: 079-17-000714
* Swift Code: NACFKRSE
You are requested to inform us of the remittance by fax (82-2-871-6808) or by email ([email protected]) as soon as possible. Please make sure that the sender's name be the applicant's so that we can match the student name on the file.
2. As the last step of the registration process, you are requested to come to take the placement test, which will take place on August 27, at 10:00 am, at the Language Education Institute. If you are an absolute beginner and would like to start from level 1, without taking the placement test, please let us know beforehand.
3. Refund is possible only up to the end of the first week of the session. More details are as follows:
1) 90% refundable: if you ask for refund before the first day of the session
2) 70% refundable: if you ask for refund within the first weekday (days 1-5) after the start of the program
To receive the refund of the tuition fee, students are required to submit the following items to the Language Education Institute:
1) A written request for withdrawal from the program.
2) The original Letter of Admission issued by LEI (if applicable).
3) If applicable, a copy of the official statement from the visa-issuing section of the Korean Embassy or Consulate indicating that the visa was denied.
