-Yes,But where is_____?
这里为什么填the other而不是the others

the other就是特指两个里面的另一个袜子，题目是。当然是两只袜子里的另一只了one… the other 只有两个 some… the others 有三个以上 one… another，another… some… others，others… others = other people/things the others = the rest 剩余的全部 http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/29938669.html?si=2

the other 指的是单数,而the others 指的是复数．前面问题中用的是is，所以回答的时候要用the other.其实这个问题的第一句就是错误的，应该是Is this your sock?

the other是和one..the other固定搭配的。the others是指剩下所有的，袜子只有两只，所以要用the other

有one...the other短语"sock"相当于one故用theother

有个结构one……the other是一个……另一个的意思，其中one与the other后面都要接单数谓语动词（因为是“一”个和另“一”个吗）
