Once upon a time there31a very, very old man. His eyes had grown dim（昏花）, his32deaf, and his knees shook. When he sat at the table, he could hardly33a spoon. He always spilled soup on the tablecloth, besides that, some of his34would run back out of his mouth.
His son and his son's wife hated this,35finally they made the old grandfather sit in the corner of the kitchen, where they gave36his food in a dirty china bowl, and not enough at that.
