in the bed? on bed? in bed? stay bed?

in bed睡觉 in bed人在床和被子的中间，处于in的状态stay in bed 也可以，但句子里要用staying in bedon bed 是躺在床上，但没有在睡觉...

in bed, 翻译成睡觉in the bed 强调的是在床上这个动作其他两个明显错...
