1.Please note that we will need the following logon details for each server:
pcAnywhere/Windows Terminal Server/Netmeeting (username/password) (PCAnywhere or WTS is preferred)
>>Windows Administrator Logon (username/password)
>>J2EE Administrator password (if a password has been set)
>>Portal URL and Portal Admin Role (username/password)
>>2. Schedule Performance Monitoron the session day
>>Please refer to the below procedure to schedule Performance Monitor on the session day(The first sessionday).
>>2-1. From windows start menu: Start -> Run -> perfmon
>>2-2. Open the node "Performance Logs and Alerts" in performance monitor tool, then right click on "Counter Logs" and select"New Log Settings" . Create a performance log with any name(e.g: GV0001 ) .
>>2-3. Popup screen appears.
>>2-4. On the General tab:
>>2.4.1 Click Add button、add below performance counter.
Total CPU utilization in %:
Performance object: Processor
Counter: % Processor Time
Instance: Total
Paging:
Performance object: Memory
Counter: Pages Input/sec
2.4.2. When you press Close button, you will see below information.
Example: \\P34119\Processor[Total]\%Processor Time, \\P34119\Memory\Pages Input/sec.
>>2.4.3 Set interval to 60 seconds。
>>2-5. On the Log Files tab:
>>2.5.1 If necessary, please set the log file name.
>>2.5.2 Set log file type as “Text File-CSV”.
>>2.5.3 Set log file size as “Maximum limit”’
>>2-6. On the Schedule tab, set the time period as 8 AM--> 5 PM(date is The first sessionday).
>>2-7. Click Apply button.
>>3．For HTTP log file
>>3-1. From Visual Administrator, please ensure 'Log Responses' is checked to enable logging for the HTTP service of each J2EE Engine server node.
>>(VA or webadministrator -> server node -> services -> HTTP provider)
>>3-2. Set LogCLF to False in Properties tab.
>>(VA or webadministrator -> server node -> services -> HTTP provider--> Properties tab)
>> 3-3. In Visual Administrator,
>>Server node ->services -> Log Configurator -> Runtime -> Catagories -> System -> httpaccess -> Access: Set Severity=INFO.
>>Http access log can be found in below directory.

>>Some additional questions are as below:
>>1). How many users are currently accessing to the portal?
>>2). Is the workload at the moment a typical workload?
