The properties of warm water from the north to the south and from the near shore to the outward shore are obviously strengthened,and the varieties of species presents the regulation that it gradually decrease from the south to the north.It should be pointed out that many tropical species such as Ostrea pauluciae,Ostrea sinensis Gmelin,Pleria formosa and Tetraclitella chinensis(Nilsson-Cantell)etc,which have been found in Nanji islands and Yushan islands of Zhejiang,do not appear in Zhoushan sea area.This means that Zhoushan sea area is has a weaker influenc by the Taiwanese warm current than the southern and the middle sea areas of Zhejiang.
Ecological dominant socials have important effects on other organisms,occupy primary biomass,control most energy flow，have wide habitat,and utilize more resources in some communities.If the dominant socials were knocked out,profound changes would happen in the communities.Thus,studies on dominant socials have become the important components of Synecology.In the community,the individual number and function of the common species are inferior to that of dominant species,and rare species could sporadically be seen and have little influence on their environments.Moreover,the common and rare species have definite effects on the nature of community and its biotope.Usually,one species in the community is characterized by its dominance by ecological scholars.
