As we discussed the key points before being able to do anything are:
a) What are the current sales and costs and hence profit and loss.
b) What are the balance sheet assets and liabilities
c) What is the level of debt.
d) Is the initial phase of the project completed? Do they have all the necessary government sign offs and permits
e) Do they have further obligations to the government? If so what?
f) What government grants/subsidies are available
g) What are the levels of imports/exports through the port. What type of goods (get split by type). Get data for last three years.
h) What traffic do they forecast for the next three years and in what sectors?
i) What is the status of the agreement with Tanjin Port – is it signed?
j) What is the policy of the Chinese Government and Local Governments – what support or policy decisions will they make to support Latta?
k) Same regarding Kazakstan Government and the local regional government.
l) Have the new highway and rail routes been signed? When do they start, when completed? Where do they go from?.
m) What further investment is required in Latta
n) What price do the current owners want to sell?
