这个是把状语提前了，做插入语。正常语序you can see as far as the old temple on top the mountain when the sky is clear, but not today.当天空清楚的时候，你能够尽可能远地看到处在山上的老庙，但不是今天。...

意思是：当天空晴朗的时候，你可以看到远处的山顶上的那座古老的庙宇，但是今天不行。所以是when也可以写成：when the sky is clear ,you can see as far as the old temple...............

when引导时间状语从句,当天空很蓝的时候. 当天空很蓝的时候,但不是今天,你可以远眺到山顶的那座旧庙!...
