B.The database opens using the rename control file.
C.The database will be mounted, but will not be opened.

When Oracle starts an instance, first it reads a parameter file to determine the values of initialization parameters.Failed to find control(s), the database will not mounted.

when mounting a database, locating & opening the control files specified in the parameter file. when starting an instance, not involving the control files. so A is right.
