i still can't get those 2 questions
1.which view shows NLS parameters that are explicitly set?
a. NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS
b. NLS_INSTANCE_PARAMETERS
c. NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS
answer is (b). can any body explain ?
i can only see the changes made to NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS, if I use command: ALTER SESSION SET ....
2. what 2 methods that DBA can limit the size of user trace file? (choose 2)
a. set MAX_DUMP_FILE in parameter file
b. set MAX_DUMP_FILE_SIZE in parameter file
c. command: ALTER SESSION TRUNCATE TRACE TO ??K
d. command: ALTER SESSION SET MAX_DUMP_FILE_SIZE=??K
e. command: ALTER SYSTEM SET MAX_DUMP_FILE_SIZE=??K
answer is b&e.
but i can't understand why e is correct. because MAX_DUMP_FILE_SIZE is neither session-modifiable nor system-modifiable.
