hi, i'm new to sap. want to know what is ides. is it possible to do everything that i can do in the normal production systems, such as setting up a new client, new company and do the implementation works in ides? thanks a lot.

你用SE38试着开发一个程序，系统马上会提示你输入开发码，你注意最下面的字段“安装”。此字段就是你安装正式LICENSE时，SAP提供给安装号（代表每一个SAP客户），例如0020065804，而开发码是你在OSS按此客户及你的用户名申请的一个18位长的密码。

hi, gaoxiangjing, one thing i want to clarify. to my understanding, after installation, there is temp license for 30 days. so what u mentioned above for 报表或程序的开发 is the limitation of the developer key. is it correct? actually, do u mean that anything to do with abap development needs the developer key? i'm still trying to figure out what components need the developer key. is there any documents explaining this? thks a lot.

是的，你可以用T。CODE SCC4看一下每个CLIENT的大概描述就知道是干什么用的了
