I want to use CHAR and VARCHAR2 to keep chinese, is it

Could you please tell me some details, normally char and varchar2
just for alphabet, how can I manage to present Chinese character?
Normally they are 2 bytes. thanks

区别是前者是定长，后者是变长的。
