The Warehouse Location Designer is intended for senior and graduate students in engineering and management studies or practicing engineers in continuing education courses. The basic concepts of operations management (probability, statistics, economic analysis, accounting, and optimization) are assumed as background. Some knowledge of basic inventory concepts (cycle stock, safety stock, and pipeline stock) and some elementary inventory models (Little's Law, Economic Order Quantity, Newsboy Solution) is also assumed. This help file will explain the economic model imbedded in the software as fully as possible.
