Responsibilities
The position is for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) with the Enterprise Platforms & Services Marketing based in Shanghai, China.The position will focus on the technical support of the hardware, software, firmware and utilities for * developed telecom server boards and platforms.
Responsibilities include:
1) Resolving server platform technical issues in a telecom environment with OSs such as Linux, SuSE, and Microsoft OSs based on IA server BIOS, firmware and utilities, and with added server peripherals, memory, telephony cards, RAID,and other enterprise validated adapter cards.
2) Be an advocate for the customer by interfacing with * hardware and software sustaining to set priorities for problem solving with within the engineering dept
3) Participate in new product development teams, representing customer technical needs,
4) Developing and presenting technical product training and enabling materials to * Resellers, OEMs, Channel OEMs.
5) Interaction with Field Sales, * Customer Support, and the worldwide Application Design-in Centers (ADC) to help resolve customer technical questions.
Position Requirements/Skills:
This position requires a solid overall understanding of NEBS/ETSI server hardware, telephony adapters, VoIP, SS7, Dialogic, and LAN/WAN network operations.The position also requires experience with DOS, Windows 2000/2003, Red Hat Linux, SuSE Linux and Novell OSs.Experience with Server Management software, the *ligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI), * Server Management Software and LANDesk software is highly desirable.Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of hardware and software technical trouble shooting at platform level.Candidate must have solid demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills required in the development of technical documents and presentations to customers, * conferences, and trade shows world wide.Applicants must be fluent in both Mandarin and English.Applicant must have a MSEE, MSCS, BSEE, or BSCS (or equivalent) with 5 or more years of experience in technical support preferably with servers in Telco segment.
