If your E-Business Suite instance is AutoConfig enabled, after you have setup your X Display server, verify the value of the DISPLAY variable in the AutoConfig context file. Option 1: X display server from the OS vendor
Unix computer vendors ship and support an X display server to run on their video display hardware. If video display hardware is available on the computer where 9iAS and/or Applications 11i is installed, this is the preferred X display option.
Option 2: Headless X display server - Xvfb or VNC
"Headless" X display servers provide the same services as the software in Options 1 & 3, however, these servers do not require video adapter hardware nor a monitor. These servers require the same settings for the default visual class, dpi and depth parameters as described in the introduction. Detailed setup instructions for Xvfb and Xvnc are included below.
