How are about Subversion for version controlfor some applications on AIX system? Please give some comments.

Could you give me a sample? I cann't understand.
Each applicaion has it's indenpendent rule of version, there isn't a NORMAL way.

Subversion looks like a software with GUI for source code version control. I just wonder if somebody has been using it on AIX system. My boss let me evaluate to see if it is good tool.
