Build & Release Engineer

Report to: Build Team Leader
Responsibilities:
1.Fully responsible for the delivery of production builds and packaging to Quality Assurance and to Release Management for all products
2.Develop and maintain build processes and process documents (including conducting reviews and getting approvals)
3.Develop and maintain build tools/scripts (including functional, design and usage documentation)
4.Produce software product build deliverables – including the execution of the processes and tools to create the build packages, the execution of build basic acceptance tests, communicating about the results, collecting and maintaining statistics, submitting defects, etc.
5.Develop build/installation related requirements
Qualifications:
1.BS in a technical field
2.2+ years of software product build experience
3.1+ years of software development experience
4.Be process and detail oriented
5.Have initiative, take ownership, be a quick learner
6.Have excellent trouble shooting skills
7.Be proficient in cross/multi-platform scripting: Make, Perl, ANT, Shell, Windows batch, etc.
8.Be proficient in using multiple OS, i.e., Windows, AIX, HPUX, Linux, Solaris.
9.Good English communication skills (verbal and written) a plus
