IT Analyst - Production Support Unix
Position Summary
Administrate all servers in Regional Data Center, focusing on UNIX and Linux, ensure high service availability and high performance. Perform jobs of OS support, middle-ware support, process support, troubleshooting, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and application installation.
Principal Duties
1. Administrate all Unix/Linux servers which locate in RDC, maintain high availability and security aligning with corporate policy, troubleshoot technical issues, install software and patches, monitor and assess performance, plan capacity improvement.
2.Involves new project setup and test, perform application install and routine update.
3.Participate in key markets’ production. Design and support processes.
4.Establish and implement daily backup procedures for data security, develop appropriate disaster recover procedure and perform periodical test.
5.Provide technical support to markets on OS and production.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
University graduate. Major in computer science or relevant.
Minimum 3-year relevant working experience with 1 year system administration on IBM AIX.
Solid knowledge and experience on UNIX (AIX, Linux)
Understand Windows.
Rich awareness of IBM Websphere series.
Good understanding to Oracle database is plus.
Good experience on production process and data center running.
Excellent English.
POSITION COMPLEXITY
Frequent communication and collaboration with application development team, other IT functions and users.
Good understanding to business strategies and process is required.
Need handling complicate system issues or technical problems.
working under pressure.
Responsible for operational and advisory decision making On support area.
Direct impact to the most critical systems in the region, may lead to system down, service slow then severe business interrupts.
LEADERSHIP & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Close contact with the professionals of process operation, application development, testing group and other IT functions .
Frequent contact with specialists in US and UK to share knowledge and experience.
Frequent contact with users for process design, update and optimize.
Frequent technical contact with external support resources, to obtain professional support in order to maintain high service level.
