Responsibilities:

Work with the desktop/server development teams to ensure i18n compliance in the source code, thus allowing for cost effective localization efforts.
?
Develop localization kits for delivery to third party vendors.
?
Provide engineering support to these vendors during the translation process.
?
Develop tools and scripts as needed to automate the localization process.
?
Builds/debugs localized versions of Adobe's products and coordinate with QE teams during the release phases of the software.
?
Develop software tools and procedures to facilitate the localization effort.
?
Share some responsibilities with the Localization Eng Manager administrative tasks.
?
Lead large scale production projects (Asian languages).
?
Be a part of the design and implementation of localization strategies/workflows.
Qualifications:
?
A Computer SC degree or equivalent needed.
?
Preferably 3+ years experience in localization and/or development of client/server applications.
?
Must have experience involving Macintosh, Unix/Linux, and Windows platforms for Asian and/or European languages.
?
Complex scripts experience a plus.
?
Good communication skills are needed, especially English verbal and written communication skills.
?
Self starting and working in isolation capabilities.
?
Experience in many of the following, UNICODE, Application Servers, C++, Visual Studio .NET 2003/2005, Java (J2EE), JavaScript, Python, PERL, source control systems, Internet tools/applications, Installshield 7.x and later, VISE installer, CodeWarrior, Resorcerer, InterfaceBuilder. OS experience, Windows 2003/XP/Vista, Mac OS10.3.x and greater.
