The Job:
?
Provide project coordination and technical leadership of a cross-functional team responsible for the development, production, or field support of generator products that satisfy customer, FAA, and internal requirements for one or more programs.
?
Prepare and manage detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets
?
Create and present program reviews and other presentations as required.
?
Responsible for monthly program tracking and statusing
?
Responsible for establishing and meeting program cost and schedule (SPI & SPI)
?
Act as engineering project interface with customer for all program issues
?
Travel as required to coordinate and conduct program activities and resolve problems
?
Ensure product satisfies technical and performance requirements.
?
Act as a liaison between customers, engineering, and other non-engineering functional groups such as manufacturing, quality, material, etc..
?
Support and promote process improvements
The Person:
?
Candidate must have BS degree in engineering or technical discipline and a minimum of 7 - 10 years demonstrated experience in project management.
?
Must be proactive in meeting program cost, schedule, and product performance
?
Ability to work in a changing environment
?
Proficiency in team building and interpersonal skills
?
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
?
Ability to inspire and motivate
?
Effective in achieving results
?
Proficient in cost and schedule analysis and reporting
?
Experience with customer and contract negotiations
?
Must possess good presentation skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical personnel.
?
Ability to anticipate, identify, and take action on potential issues and problems.
?
Must be knowledgeable with hardware standards and project management tools
?
Must drive customer satisfaction by meeting commitments
?
Self starter, biased for action, and results oriented.
?
Demonstrated project management skills using standard methodologies, processes, and practices such as IPDS, PS6, SAP, Risk Management, etc.
?
Track record of leadership of development programs.
