Roles & Responsibilities
?
Provide technical and project leadership in the design, development, deployment, user engagement and research on prototypes to explore new business, service or product concepts.
?
Work with engineering, the general manager of incubation, product group senior managers, business strategists, user experience experts, and other management and team members to identify and deliver projects with significant business potential that leverage MSRA expertise and technologies.
?
Write product/feature functional specifications; assist in design decisions; and drive development, security and scalability best practices.
?
Ensure that project teams remain well connected with appropriate counterparts in MSR, other incubation groups, Redmond business and product groups and other organizations as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
?
Ability to plan and drive commercial software projects from initial conception to external release, including 5 years of technical program management experience in software products or services.
?
Strong user centric product conceptualization and design skills.
?
Passionate about understanding, managing, and satisfying novel problems with creative solutions. Excellent people skills even when working under pressure.
?
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships of trust and mutual respect across the company and with any external partners.
?
BS/MS degree in computer science or related technical discipline is required.
?
Ability to work in China and to travel.Fluency in English required.
?
Experience in an operations / production environment for online services a plus. |
