Senior DB2 Database Administrator
JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the implementation, configuration and general administration of relational database management systems part of COMPANY’s DB2 database including documentation of long-range requirements, operational guidelines, access controls and backup and recovery.Establish and maintain security and integrity controls. Achieve performance tuning of databases and code.Review database design and integration of systems, including client/servers configurations and make recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements.Development of some SQL code and UNIX shell scripts.Provide training to junior DBA resources and developer teams.

B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
?
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards related to the DB2 RDBMS
?
Full knowledge of industry practices in the areas of database design and support
?
Degree in Computer Science or business related discipline
JOB EXPERIENCE
?
8 years of IT or related experience with B.A or B.S.; 6 years of IT or related experience with M.A. or M.S.
?
At least 5 years of solid experience in DB2 database technology for both B.A or B.S. and M.A. or M.S.
?
Experience with various DB2 products including unload/load/backup/recover/copy/reorg etc, WebSphereApplication Serve, Tivoli TSM system etc
?
IBM Certified Professional (DB2) preferred
