Job description for IT help desk engineer
The help desk staff should perform the follow tasks:
1. Serve as the first level support to receive users calls, log issues, and follow up with the issues
a) Perform initial problem analysis & trouble shooting
b)Coordinate with hardware/software IT vendor to perform 2nd level support tasks
c) Coordinate with Chrysler central ITM for necessary 2nd level support on software/system ID issues
d)Coordinate with Daimler China IT organization for IT issues covered by the SLA between Chrysler & Daimler
2. Process new user application form for new PC & other IT devices, new Windows & email accounts
3. Configure & release PC’s and other IT hardware for new users
4. Install corporate or 3rd party software on users PC per request & approval
5. Perform client IT asset management
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree in computer science, information system manager or related fields
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in I T help desk
3. Good knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and office applications
4. Familiar with basic UNIX commands
5. Good knowledge in Lotus Notes
6. Good knowledge in computer hardware
7. Good communication skills in Chinese & English
8. Can work independently with excellent problem solving skills
9. Team spirit with friendly manner. Eager to help other people
