Job description:
1.Capable of doing OSS 4.2 to OSS 5.1 upgrade
2.Capable of Integrating Nokia-Siemens-Network (NSN) Node-B, MSS, MGW, HLR, RNC into OSS 5.1
3.Capable of doing License management into NSN elements via OSS
4.OSS technical support and integration for UMTS roll out (RNC, Node B, SGSN/SG6, ISN-flexi, CG, BG, MSS, MGW, HLR)
5.Fresh OSS/NMS install for OSS4.2 and OSS5.1
6.Conduct OSS (UX and Windows based) backup/recovery and testing
7. Configure HP HW, SAN, EMC&VA disks for new/upgrade with existing servers
8.Provided technical support to Nokia OSS clients
9.Good hands on NW monitoring,CM tools, KPIs and other performance tools usage
10.Implement Traffica systems, Node Managers etc.
11.Implement HP Unix, Oracle, HP Omniback II, Nokia OSS propriety software, Citrix and other third party software
12.Sound knowledge of CISCO configuration and protocols like OSPF, CLNS etc.
13.Capable of designing OSS architecture for integration purpose

Job description:
1. Commissioning, Integration, System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Engineering support for NSN CS Core elements at customer.
2.Completion of MSS and MGW, HLR, RNC NSN Site Folder Documentation and Test Logs for Commissioning and Integration as required.
3.Jointly working with NSN Customer reps on jointly, pre-agreed System Acceptance Testing, documentation and test logs.
4.Implementation of S/W and or H/W upgrades to equipment as required
5.Interoperability Testing (IOT) and Engineering support for Customer vendors as required.
6.Providing timely daily status reports of progress and issues to NSN Project Management team.
Task Details:
1. Commissioning: (MSS/MGW/HLR/RNC at certain locations may already have been commissioned):
(1) Pre-check will include validating inter bay cabling, verifying switch settings, seating of plug in units into the backplane, verifying cabinet ground and power before turn up.
(2) Perform power up of MSS, HLR, RNC MGW.Verify functionality of all components and Plug In Unit’s (PIU’s). Troubleshoot and isolate any faults/alarms encountered.(Commissioner is responsible for completion of fault reports and submitting faulty components to NSN Hardware Services for replacement).
(3) Commissioner will complete commissioning of MSS and MGW per the guidelines defined in the NSN Site Folders.
(4) Commissioner will perform any H/W and S/W upgrades as directed.
(5) Commissioner will load the NSN provided Datafill.
2. Integration:
(1) Work with NSN’s Customer Reps to bring up, establish communication with, and test the MSS, HLR, RNC, MGW external interfaces.
(2) Troubleshoot with the customer and assist in isolating any faults/alarms encountered with these interfaces.
(3) Commissioner will complete integration of MSS, HLR, RNC/BSCi, MGW, Node-B per the guidelines outlined in the NSN Site Folders.
3. Systems Acceptance Testing (SAT):
(1) Work with NSN’s Customer Rep’s to perform joint System Acceptance Testing of the MSS, HLR, RNC/BSCi and MGW as required to achieve Network element acceptance.
(2)NSN and Customer have mutually agreed on the contents of testing.Ensure functionality of all test cases, and troubleshoot and isolate any faults encountered.
