Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers working on the development and maintenance of software and/or mobile products (such as Cloud Computing and Android software), using Java technologies.
- Develops and implements 3-tier software applications.
- Supports and/or installs software applications.
- Responsible for design, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Participates in the testing process through definition and creation of unit test suites, test plan review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Typically requires 5-8 years of experience including a demonstrated ability to deliver assignments with high quality and on time. Has experience with concepts, practices, and procedures commonly used within the software development field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Follows disciplined software development practices.
Job Requirements
- BS/BA in CS or related field.
- At least 5 years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
- Expert at OOA, OOD, and familiar with OO tools.
- The candidate must have good knowledge of basic and advanced Java and have good familiarity with server side development.
- Candidate will have good SQL and query tuning knowledge.
- Hands on experience with advanced java programming (e.g. thread programming, caching) is required. Familiarity with Rational Rose object modeller, clearcase and Java Profilers will be of dded advantage.
- Familiarity and use of JUnit and selenium for product testing is a requirement.
- Solid experiences in product life cycle, quality, resource managements.
- Fluent English in both speaking and writing.
