Position Summary:
Project Manager (Telecom Industry)

Position Description
The Project Manager plans, schedules, monitors, and directs Teradata projects to implement a solution meeting agreed customer requirements and expected Teradata business results. The Project Manager may lead a single project or oversee multiple smaller sub-projects.The Project Manager manages Teradata employees and third party contractors to ensure projects meet established time, cost and technical objectives.The Project Manager supports projects beginning in the pre-contract sales process, and will manage them through closeout.The Project Manager may be supported by various technical leads and/or Project Coordinators.
Education and Experience Requirements
B.S. degree and abovein Business or Technical discipline required (or equivalent experience)
5- 10 years in Telco industry and very well known telco business
5-10 years inIT project management experience
Proven communications skills
Proven organization and planning skills
Proven leadership skills
Proven consulting skills
Data Warehouse and BI implementation experience
Can support 80% time long term travel
Experience at working effectively in highly challenging environments
Experience working with clients at mid- to senior-managementlevels
Experience managing technology projects including software development and systems integration
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification


Key Areas of Responsibility
?
Lead the scoping, planning, cost estimating, and pricing of consulting projects.Responsible for statement of work development and risk assessment, including but not limited to defining goals and objectives, identifying client requirements, resource requirements, project budget, project risks and the translation of the clients’ business requirements into specific deliverables.

Lead data warehouse or other Teradata solution implementation projects of moderate complexity, or a collection of multiple smaller projects
?
Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within customer expectations forquality and functionality
?
Manage customer acceptance of the solution, and managing customer expectations in line with the agreed statement of work
?
Manage day-to-day relationship with client stakeholders and resolution of all issues
?
Maintains and communicates project status to all stakeholders in reports and status meetings.
?
Identify sales opportunities; participate in pre-sales planning, project pricing, bid review and presentation of sales proposals.Acquires incremental business within the project through change control.
?
Builds a project team., including Teradata employees, offshore resources and contractors.
?
Ensure proper set up of the engagement in the time keeping system, ensuring consultants and contractors are always current with their reported time.
?
Manages all project administration.Maintains project plans and related documents.
?
Ensure monthly billings and timely collection of revenue, and manage procurement and payment to contractors
?
Contribute to a project management community of interest for the region or area solution team
