Key Responsibilities:
The Software Development Engineers forPayments in Beijing, China will:
oDeep dive into Global Payments systems to drive initiative which are critical to customer experiences, as well as company’s third-party seller and product expansions in China.
oWork with other global teams to integrate innovations into Global Payments system.
oDevelop pragmatic solutions and build flexible systems without over-engineering and choose simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones.
oRecognize and adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
oCreate operational metrics that best determine whether your customers are having agood experience.Set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on those metrics. Configurealarms on latency and availability so that your team is alerted to problems before yourcustomers notice.
Basic Qualifications
oBachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science or related field
oComputer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
oProficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java or C++
oComputer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
oKnowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
oFluent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
oExperience in developing distributed systems
oExperience in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
oKnowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
oAbility to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
oExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
oWorking experience in Payments or e-Commerce
oExperience in working in global company
