This position is part of ITSB Project Management Office (AsiaPacific).
The Project Manager will work with various organizations within Cargill todeliver IT Infrastructure projects that have significant business impact.Candidates for this position are expected to have experience of managinglarge IT Infrastructure projects $250,000-$1 million–total project spend. This role demands someone who can partner effectivelywith all levels of the organization. The Project Manager must drive results,proactively identify and resolve problems. This role is expected to keep upwith project management technology, trends and best practices. The ProjectManager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis on behalfof the project sponsor, with the constraints laid down by the sponsor. TheProject Manager is accountable for the project results, and is effective atproviding appropriate project team leadership, organization and integrationto deliver projects that meet the stated project objectives and successcriteria. The Project Manager has the primary responsibility to ensure thatthe project produces the required deliverables, to the required standard ofquality and within the specified constraints of time and costs. The ProjectManager is also responsible for the project producing a result that iscapable of achieving the benefits and value defined in the BusinessCase.
Principal Accountabilities:
10% Project Leadership: Leadership of project team, identifying andimplementing best practices. Facilitate periodic project reviews. Providementorship, coaching and development for team members as appropriate.
20% Project Planning: Define project objectives and scope. Plans the courseof action required to meet the project intent. Accountable for the ProjectManagement Plan, which includes areas such as a business case, work plan,schedule, budget, resource plan, communication plan, change plan, and riskplan
40% Project Execution: Integrates people and other resources to carry outthe project management plan for the project. Successfully manage and monitorprogress to ensure project objectives are delivered on time and withinbudget, and business results are realized. Be the final point of approval forcontingency plans and scope changes
15% Project Control: Regularly measure and monitor project progress toidentify variances from the plan and make any needed corrections. Contain andresolve issues within the program that do not require sponsorattention.
15% Business Results: Accountable for the delivery of project. Accountablefor keeping the project sponsors and stakeholders aware of the status of theproject. Ensures successful closure and completion of all aspects of theproject. Ensures successful closure and completion of all aspects of theproject. Works with the business to ensure the product is successfullyimplemented and that the promised benefits and value are beingcaptured.
