That is why small amount of oil in water tends to form droplet in order to avoid exposing to water as less as possible.I still do not know why sphere has the smallest surface area given the same volume.
This also reminds me when increasing oil/water ratio complete oil droplet becomes harder to exist and starts transforming to rod from sphere.One may think about 2 spheres (or more) and cut one into 2 halves and change the other one into cylinder with both ends connecting to the 2 halves of sphere.
