做定语，试看，are no longer in reasonable proportion 不再处于合理的比例，什么比例呢？to the total cost of the product与产品总值（不是总值，应是产品的总成本）的的的。。。比例

in proportion to 是固定搭配，与...成比例。在该句中，no longer in proportion to to the total cost of the product 整个短语作表语
