Importance of travel in life stressed Staff Reporter THRISSUR: Noted poet Attur Ravi Varma, has said that travel can make refreshing changes in the human perspective. He was inaugurating a seminar on `Travel: The path of humaneness' organised by the Kerala Sahithya Akademi here on Sunday as part of the ongoing National Book Festival. "When we are walking through our own areas we may feel subjugated by the heaviness of familiarity. But when we trek into major heights and vast areas in far off places, we will feel lighter," Prof. Varma said. Inaugurating the seminar C.K. Chandrappan, MP. said travel can help integrate people from different cultures and will provide an opportunity to study the diverse societies and thereby to uphold the basic human values.
