PrPrior to preproduction stage, and as soon as all materials and components are available, the supplier submits two non-assembled kits of the electronic module to RoHS testing (X-Ray Fluorescence) and keeps one identical kit in-house, for reference.The submitted kits must match the production BOM.The supplier advises MB that samples have been submitted for testing.The supplier also advises MB that testing has been completed by the certification laboratory.Upon PASS results, MB will pay for the tests.Upon FAIL results, supplier will pay for the tests as well as any additional testing required, and will investigate and correct the cause of failure.Once the RoHS test results are available, the supplier will organize a meeting with MB to review the test results, the associated documentation and the retained kit.A corrective action report (8D CAR) report will be prepared by the supplier and submitted to MB QA in case the tests fail.Upon satisfactory resolution, another two kits are submitted and tested (go back to 4.4) 4.5MB authorization to produceUpon satisfactory review of the test documentation produced by the supplier and the RoHS pass reports, upon confirmation from supplier that the materials and processes are compliant, and that supplier will assure that present and future production will comply accordingly, MB will authorize production to start |
