Boo hockey might be slang from New York City but nowhere on the internet can definition of it be found...I did find some sentences using the phrase however which gives a hint to its meaning:(note:teething is when babies are growing their teeth)1. I'm realizing now that if this teething boo-hockey goes on for much longer, there's not enough caffeine in the world to keep me on my feet and functioning. 2. Saying 'the law doesn't let us' is such a boo hockey.3. The whole 'I'm playing my grandfather'sfather so they can slap me into the story' is boo hockey to me. 4. It'll probably be different by morning, but none of you will notice because ya'll have lives and aren't on the friggin' computer. This is boo hockey. 5. He dismisses that argument as 'boo-hockey,' noting that small papers often relyupon coaches to phone in information to reporters. this is still a bunch of boo hockey to me man.note:There was a player Jim McQuaid Boo who played six games in the National Hockey League in USA (1978)~So what is the meaning of "boo-hockey". It seems to me from these sentences the meaning is "NONSENSE"This is still a bunch of boo hockey to me=This is still a bunch of nonsense to meA more common term with the same meaning as boo hockey is "baloney"(which is also a kind of meat which is sliced and put on sandwiches) This is still a bunch of baloney to me.If you want to use good english I would use NONSENSE. I would avoid slang when speaking/writing English unless you are writing about a character who speaks that way. Good to understand it though!
