Greenwood Girl In River Drama Jenny Gray,a petty crown-haired six-year-old girl,nearly drowned last Wednesday in the river in moss park
Jenny was on her way to school.It was her teacher's brithday and Jenny wanted to buy her some flowers.She went to the local sweet shop pn Central Estate,but the owner,Mrs Mary Hawkins,told her that she did not sell flowers.So jenny went to the bank of river in Moss Park to pick some wild flowers for her teacher.

Three hours later,the police found Jenny.She was lying near the water and she was unconscious.She also had a broken leg.She was lying three inches from the edge og the river.police Constable Peggy Booth told me ,"Jenny is very luckly to be alive.She had a very narrow escape."Jenny is now i nthe children‘s ward at Greenwood General Hospital.

Once again,the Moss Park River is the scene of a near fatal accidewnt.The river passes very close to Saint John’s First School.At this point it is over two metres deep.There are not fences.In fact,there is nothing to shop small children from falling into the water.It is time for the lacal authorities to do something about this dangerous playground.The next little Jenny may not be so lucky.
