在外语教学中,我们在同学生进行具体的话语训练和分析时,要让他们了解到:不同的语境会给话语增添不同的言外之力,因而不应当只停留在对话语进行语义和句法上的讲解和分析。言语行为理论还告诉我们,在外语教学中,教师不但要培养学生从言内行为推导出言外行为,从字面意义推导出暗含意义,还要培养学生善于运用间接言语行为,把暗含意义巧妙地隐藏在字里行间,自如地表达自己的思想感情。
