Title: Program Manager of China Gaming Platform, Advanced Technology Center, Microsoft China R & D, Beijing
Microsoft China R&D is looking for a talented and passionate program manager as part of the China core team to help plan and drive the development and extension of Microsoft’s cross-platform gaming platform.This is part of the company’s “Connected Entertainment” vision which offers consumers new and compelling, branded entertainment experiences across music, gaming, video and mobile communication.This role will have many responsibilities including working with the team to explore new platform strategies and business models for the emerging market, identify and prioritize new features suitable for the local market, designing and writing specifications of platform components and driving the development effort.The successful candidate will be able to provide deep insights on and analysis of the future gaming platform, user behavior, the business models and partner strategies.He or she will also keep track of the competitive landscape and the general trend in the industry.
Specific requirements include:
-Solid program management experience in the software industry, preferably games industry.Must possess the ability to write clear and concise software specification, develop and manage project schedule and drive the overall software development process.
-Strong leadership skills.Must have the ability to work cross-boundary with different disciplines and drive towards a common goal to realize the project vision.
-Strong cross-group communication skills.Must have proven ability to work with multiple partner teams in our US headquarter and other parts of the world.
-Strong technical background with good understanding of technologies involved in online gaming platform, information security and other internet applications.
-Good business background with the ability to understand and create new business models, identify industry trends, form partner strategies and conduct customer research.Having an MBA a plus.Good understanding of the games industry, both local and worldwide would be a big plus.
-Knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about electronic games.
