Title: Sr. Software Engineer (Core Engine)

Responsibilities:
Member ofCore Engine (CE) team that designs, develops and integrates infrastructure technology. The team is responsible for an internal project that provides a modular development environment to enable all BEA products leveraging the micro Services Architecture (mSA). CE is a fast-moving, dynamic project requiring frequent and short release cycles. The CE infrastructure uses OSGi technology for the mSA backplane. Ongoing development work includes development and enhancement of tools and utilities, integration of common components from various producer teams, and integration of open source components. Development responsibilities include:
?Write functional and technical specifications for features
?Design, code and unit test features
?Work closely with producers of components to integrate into CE
?Work closely with QA team to review test specifications and test plan
?Diagnose and fix product problems/bugs from consumers and testers
Qualifications:
Education:
MS/BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent
?Strong verbal and written English skills
?3-5 years of commercial software experience
?Skilled in Java programming
?Experience with UNIX (one of Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX) or Windows
Desirable knowledge or skills:
?OSGi, Tomcat, Spring, XML and SOAP
?Experience with middleware products or standards (e.g. J2EE)
?Ant programming
?UNIX Shell scripting
?Network Programming
